There's a story here-and maybe you're the one to bring it back to life. This 1983 log bungalow sits high on the hill on a private 1.3 acre lot in the village of Plevna. It's a pretty piece of property wih plenty of potential. The home & grounds have seen better days and are in need of work, but beneath the overgrowth is a property that was once lovingly developed with hillside gardens, lighting and water features. The bungalow has some important features already in place, including a full concrete block basement, a good metal roof, Generac, hydro, a working septic system and drilled well. The decks have fallen and the pool has collapsed, while years of water in the basement have left their mark (basement will likely need weeping tile and new drywall etc), This is definitely a property that will require work, cleanup and vision-but the setting is hard to ignore.Sitting high above the road, the property has an elevated outlook and, with some clearing, there is an opportunity to make much more of the setting. And then... there's the church. Included with the property is a separate 1/4 acre parcel improved with a former church. Hydro is in place, but there is no well or septic system serving the church property. Buyer to determine its future potential and permitted uses (currently being used as storage). The bungalow has frontage on Highway 509, with current access via a cul-de-sac over the neighboring church property. Small grocery store, restaurant, LCBO, school, Home Hardware and post office all nearby. Lakes, trails and the outdoor recreation center. This one isn't polished, and it's not pretending to be. Much potential for someone willing to roll up their sleeves and take on a project. Bring your ideas, your vision and your willingness to put in the work. Both properties are being sold in an 'as is, where is' condition. (id:60457) Location - Cross Streets: Hwy 509/Lookout Hill Rd. ** Directions: Plevna Hwy 509 to Lookout Hill Road. Then make a left at the old church.
